American Diner in Clearwater, Florida hired attractive women to lure customers through its doors.
And when the Hooters concept emerged in the US, it eventually found its way around the globe.
Around 420 of the restaurants are now in operation in 42 states and 29 countries.
Not only is it popular in the US, but it’s also found in countries like the UK, Mexico, Singapore, and the Czech Republic.

Female employees, often referred to as “Hooters Girls,” wear white tank tops, orange nylon hot pants, and tights.
But what is it like to wear the classy uniform?
When Nottinghamshire Live asked the waitresses for their opinion, they admitted the clothes took some getting used to.
One staff member said, “When I first tried it on, I remember thinking, I hope I don’t look a little ‘ooh’, but I’m fine.
“I am a woman, I can do what I want and wear what I want.”

Put a sock in it
On TikTok, Hooters employee Jade Amber recently revealed that the sheer stockings can be an annoying part of the uniform.
Apparently, employees often have to replace their bare tights when they are given a ladder.
Some restaurants even have a vending machine that allows them to get more tights during their shifts.
In a viral video, Jade shows herself buying a new pair and throwing away those caught.
She titled the clip: “It’s $ 5 on our tights and they tear all the time.”

Passion for fashion
While it may seem a bit annoying to replace part of the uniform, it is a good investment for waitresses.
Previously, the Daily Star revealed how former Hooters employees whipped their old work clothes online.
While some are snapping up the outfits for Halloween costumes, others are buying them for more perverted reasons.
On Twitter, an ex-employee admitted that she had been offered hundreds to model the clothes for a Hooters fetishist.
She wrote, “I offered one of my old Hooters uniforms and someone offered me $ 300 to model them for. I hate people.”

Hot pants, name tags and tight vest tops are among the items that can make a fortune with horny players.
And apparently socks can make the best money.
A former employee claimed on Twitter, “I used to work at Hooters and sell my socks on eBay.
“I sold everything on eBay, including the pins we had to wear – even the name tag. But the socks were the best sellers. “

A waitress recently revealed how it is possible to fake oversized curves.
In a TikTok viral clip, the employee showed how she makes £ 290 a day tip by filling her bra to make her A-cup breasts look huge.
Medical student Kristen showed followers how to shape herself into an hourglass shape without going under the knife.

She starts by putting on a special bra that she bought on Amazon that adds two sizes to her chest.
The waitress, who claims to have “a teenager’s breast”, then uses gel bra inserts to further add thickness to her cleavage.
She proudly concluded, “Now you look like I should be a Hooters girl!”

Hooters Girls don’t just look glamorous serving customers.
Many also enjoy whizzing down the catwalk at the restaurant chain’s annual international swimsuit.
The competition has been running since 1997 and hundreds of women take part every year.
While some feel that women shouldn’t be hired for their looks, the ladies who entered the contest say it was a huge confidence factor for them.
A representative from the Nottingham Hooters branch said, “We took women’s empowerment courses and did workshops like resume writing and Living After Hooters. I came back with a different perspective. ”
