‘A real cup fight yesterday and the boys were great. Big game next week in Nottingham!’

A teacher from Leeds replied to Marsch, saying that the team is one she can tell her schoolchildren about. The coach wrote back: ‘Love that, Emma!! They are incredible role models. No doubt!!’

As Marsch mentioned in his tweet, Leeds play fellow relegation candidate Nottingham Forest next in the Premier League on Sunday, February 5.

Leeds are a point above the relegation zone while Forest are only four points clear.

Marsch and Leeds could also be boosted before that game next weekend with the team expected to complete the signing of Weston McKennie from Juventus.

The United States midfielder is expected to sign on an initial loan, with an option for Leeds to buy him permanently at the end of the season.
