Dozens of countries have essentially banned British citizens from visiting as Omicron cases quickly spread across the UK – while others introduced new rules for Brits.
Some of our favorite spots are out of bounds, but that’s not the case everywhere.
Earlier this month, the French government said it was imposing a ban on all tourists, regardless of whether they were vaccinated or not, the Liverpool Echo reported.
German nationals are still allowed to travel to Germany from the UK but must present a negative test before departure and be quarantined for two weeks upon arrival.
For vacationers, however, a visit is forbidden after Germany designated Great Britain as a “virus variant area”.
More and more countries are closing their borders to British tourists – some of them have virtually stopped all international travel.
Other countries have stricter rules for people coming from the UK.
However, if you are looking to travel there are a few places where the British are welcome without restrictions.
However, it is important to reiterate that all UK travelers on their return to the UK must do a PCR test and isolate until you get the result.
These three countries currently allow the British to enter without a test or quarantine:
Mexico
Most UK visitors can travel to Mexico without restrictions as Mexico is open to travelers regardless of their vaccination status.
Travelers must fill out a health declaration form and scan the QR code that is generated upon arrival.
Costa Rica
Adults who are not fully vaccinated can visit Costa Rice provided they have travel insurance that covers accommodation and medical expenses in the event of infection with Covid-19.
People under the age of 18 can travel to Costa Rica with fully vaccinated adults without compulsory insurance.
By February 7, 2022, travelers may be required to provide proof of vaccination to enter certain facilities.
The saviour
Most travelers can enter El Salvador without a negative test result and do not need to be quarantined upon arrival.
Vaccination is also not required, but travelers are advised to bring a vaccination card as this may be required to access certain events and rooms.
