An interesting transfer claim from Jed Wallace arises amid the interest of Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest are said to be in a “strong position” to land Millwall winger Jed Wallace this month.

The Millwall man has drawn the attention of several clubs, with Forest competing with the interests of Turkish giant Besiktas and championship counterparts Middlesbrough and Sheffield United.

News at Den also says Lions are “preparing for Jed Wallace’s possible departure this month.”

They also added, “A source NewsAtDen spoke to this week felt that Nottingham Forest is in a strong position to land Wallace this month.”

And Sun journalist Alan Nixon tips Forest to close a deal for the 27-year-old.

Talking about Wallace’s future on Twitter, he said, “Hear the forest happen … but don’t do anything until it’s done …”

Wallace’s current contract expires in the summer after he was at The Den in 2017 and played almost 200 league games.

The latest update has delighted many Forest fans.

“Wow, it has to be tight then,” said one supporter on Twitter before another added, “Seriously?

Another said, “It would be amazing if we could do it,” while a third said, “It happens !!”

Millwall boss Gary Rowett has denied all transfer speculation and expects Wallace to be available for Forest on Saturday.

“Jed had only trained for a few days and I thought he hadn’t trained enough or looked not quite fit enough to play this game,” said Rowett.

“So we’re going to give him a little more time to make sure he’s available for Forest. In the current situation, there’s no reason he won’t be available for this game.”
