Welcome to NottinghamshireLive’s coverage of the latest Nottingham Forest news on Thursday, April 14.
Steve Cooper’s side have strengthened their unbeaten run and grip on the top six after beating Birmingham City 2-0 at the City Ground on Saturday. That victory – along with results elsewhere – moved the Reds up into third and just six points behind second-placed Bournemouth, who they are set to take on in a few weeks’ time. Next up is a Good Friday trip to another side chasing promotion, Luton Town.
In matters away from the pitch, eyes are starting to turn to the summer transfer window with plans already in place for Forest whatever division they are in next season. There has also been speculation about Premier League interest in key players such as Brennan Johnson and Joe Worrall.
As for a potential incomings, Forest could be at the front of the queue to sign Keinan Davis, with Aston Villa likely to cash in on the striker in the summer. Meanwhile, there have been claims Forest could sign James Garner on a permanent basis from Manchester United.
