One of the most spectacular insider tips in the region has announced further garden events for visitors.
Harlaxton Manor near Grantham opens two weekends in August, allowing guests to explore the beautiful formal gardens and other areas that are normally closed to the public.
At these events, visitors can enjoy an afternoon tea buffet, treats, cakes and other refreshments, which promise a feast for the eyes and stomach.

While the front circle, the main entrance, the Manor Gardens, the Winter Garden and the Gold Room are open on two weekends, each day promises a unique experience with family-oriented Saturdays and relaxed Sundays.
Andrew Fowler, Events Manager at Harlaxton Manor said, “When we opened our gardens to the public in May, we were overwhelmed by the support and interest from local residents, community members and visitors from further afield.

“While the Manor Gardens, Main Entrance, Conservatory and Gold Room are open on both weekends, we offer a range of activities to make each day unique: Saturdays are more tailored to children’s activities with a range of games and entertainment. for the whole family, while Sunday is a much more relaxed experience for those looking for a quiet retreat.
“We’re finalizing plans for more community events this fall and I can’t wait to announce them soon … especially as we’re nearing the 50th anniversary of Harlaxton College.”
On Saturday August 14th and Saturday August 21st, Harlaxton Manor’s family-oriented open house days are perfect for visitors looking to burn energy in the beautiful gardens. While delicious refreshments are served in the Gold Room and Conservatory, families can explore the gardens and enjoy the games and activities for children on the lawns and gardens.
For a more relaxed and peaceful experience, Sunday 15th and Sunday 22nd August are great for those looking for a quieter stroll on a lazy Sunday.

Visitors can explore the Manor Gardens while taking in the scenery at a leisurely pace. The Gold Room and Conservatory also offer afternoon tea, cakes, and drinks that can be enjoyed outside or in the impressive 19th-century conservatory.
Located near the borders of Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire, Harlaxton Manor is a dramatic and memorable country house set in 300 acres of park and landscaped gardens.
Usually closed to the public, the mansion has been the UK campus of the University of Evansville, Indiana since 1971 and welcomes hundreds of American students each semester to learn and study in an inspiring environment. Harlaxton College, as it is known in the US, is celebrating its 50th anniversary in September, with special celebrations to be announced shortly.
For the events at Harlaxton Manor in August, visitors will need a ticket to enter Manor Gardens, Front Circle, Conservatory and Gold Room.

Visitors are advised to purchase tickets in advance, although tickets can also be purchased in the main lobby upon arrival each day.
Adult tickets are £ 8, concession tickets are £ 6 and children are £ 4. Family tickets are also available for 20 euros. Afternoon tea, refreshments and drinks are available at an additional cost.
