Jubilee celebration street parties take place across Nottingham

Celebrations for the third day of Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations are taking place across the county on Saturday. The nation ic celebrating 70 years of the Queen’s reign.

The extended bank holiday started on Thursday, June 2, and runs until Sunday, June 5, 2022. Events and street parties have been organized throughout Nottinghamshire and the city centre, with public and private celebrations marking the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.

Street parties are being held across Nottinghamshire on Saturday and Sunday.

Throughout the UK and Commonwealth, beacons will be lit, street parties will take place and parades and events will be enjoyed. In Nottingham and the county, there will be an array of ways to get involved. Dozens of roads will be closed for private street parties, picnics have been planned and 26 sites have been earmarked for Platinum Jubilee beacons to be lit.
