A man has been sentenced to 28 days in prison for violating his injunction against social behavior.
Darren Frost, who had no permanent address, was arrested by Nottinghamshire Police in Sutton-in-Ashfield town center.
The 34-year-old man was banned from entering the city center as part of a temporary injunction and was spotted by a community protection officer.
The order was received by the Ashfield District Council in January 2021 following Mr Frost’s antisocial behavior in the city center and on the Carsic Estate.
Mr Frost appeared before Mansfield County Court on July 8, where he was sentenced to an immediate 28-day prison term.
The court found that violations of the regulation were deliberate and persistent and posed a danger to local residents.
Councilor Helen-Ann Smith, Cabinet Member for Community Security, said: “This case should make it clear that we in Ashfield will not tolerate intruders.
“Darren Frost continued to enter Sutton town center despite being banned from doing so due to his past behavior.
“The council is committed to making our city centers safer, cleaner and more welcoming.
“We will take enforcement action whenever we can to ensure that the behavior of a few people does not interfere with other residents’ enjoyment of Ashfield.”
The preliminary injunction is valid until December 20, 2021.
