See Nottingham’s new £ 2 million Roxy Ball Room

Nottingham’s second Roxy Ball Room has finally opened its doors at the Cornerhouse after being delayed by the pandemic.

The £ 2million venue was slated to open in the fall of 2020 – but the Covid crisis set the transformation back several months.

The home of liquor and ball games is Nottingham’s largest restaurant. The former World Cuisine buffet offered space for 500 guests until it closed in 2017.

The new Roxy Ball Room – there is also one on Thurland Street in the city center – has six lanes for tenpin bowling, Olympic butterfly ping pong tables, beer pong, boccia, American pool and duckpin bowling.

Shuffleboard, traditional arcade games, karaoke rooms, crazy billiards, and curling are also offered against the backdrop of a rock and indie soundtrack.

Roxy Leisure’s Director of Marketing Joel Mitchell said: “After the success and warm welcome at our first location in Nottingham, we decided to open a second one here. We love this city and its amazing community and night life.

“With The Cornerhouse being Nottingham’s number one leisure and entertainment destination, we think the Roxy Ball Room is a perfect fit. We hope everyone will enjoy our new game add-ons and have fun trying out our new karaoke booths.”

The bar is open seven days a week until 1.30 a.m. Until the social distancing restrictions are lifted, security measures will apply, including a maximum of six people in a group, advance booking and contactless payments only.
