A 35-year-old man was arrested and is now helping the officers with their investigation.
He has since been released under investigation while officers investigate the potential viability of another pistol that was also recovered from the scene.
Nottinghamshire Police Department Inspector Charlotte Allardice said: “The police have done an excellent job searching the property thoroughly and finding a lot of drugs and the fake gun.
“Imitation firearms can look very convincing and criminals can use them to create fear or intimidate potential victims. Very positive is the fact that these items cannot be used for this purpose.
“We take gun and drug offenses very seriously and will always work to take appropriate action against those found to have committed such offenses.
“An investigation is underway to determine the viability of another pistol found at the scene and we will conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
“We work closely with local residents to gather information and take action. If you are concerned about something near you, please report it to us at 101 or dial 999 in an emergency. “
