The popular burger restaurant Five Guys will open a new branch in the East Outlands Designer Outlet Village at the end of July – further stores are in preparation.
The American burger chain will open this summer in the McArthurGlen outlet directly at junction 28 of the M1 to Mansfield.
An exact opening date for the summer has not yet been set, but the store will be in the food court next to Wagamama when it is ready to serve customers.
There are also plans to reveal other stores at the center soon, but all names are currently under lock and key.
David Jackson, Center Manager, told Nottinghamshire Live, “The most important thing is how security evolves over the next few months.
“We have extended our hours in accordance with government guidelines, expanded the parking lot, and looked at ways to simplify the experience for guests on busy days.
“We’ve expanded our outdoor capacity by 65 percent so people can spend some time outdoors with their families and enjoy brands like Wagamama, Pizza Express, 200 Degrees.”
He said consumer confidence will improve as the summer months approach and the vaccine continues to roll out.
The center plans to reopen its food court in June to allow people to sit indoors and dine, but there will still be a large presence of outdoor seating.
“We tried to really investigate what the local catchment area wants in terms of food choices and we thought Five Guys was a good option.
“We have some to follow that we believe people will be proud and pleased to see with us.
“What we want in the summer is that people relax with us, have a good time and enjoy their shopping.”
The designer outlet has almost 1,500 parking spaces and 700 employees work there.
The opening times have been extended from Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
