Nottinghamshire pubs, restaurants, cafes and bars will reopen on April 12th

The countdown is on and the finishing touches are being put on the gardens and terraces of restaurants, pubs and cafes ready for the day of reopening.

Monday (April 12th) marks the first time since the November lockdown that venues have been able to properly trade in addition to takeout.

It’s not the warmest April ever, but some venues have tents, heaters, and blankets to keep the cold out.

Some of the most popular venues in Nottingham city center are bustling, such as the sold-out Rock City Yard Bar with a waiting list until next month and the Magic Garden in Low Pavement.

Some punters don’t venture too far from home and are eager to return to their favorite hangout. Many of the socially distant tables were reserved by couples or groups of up to six people.

Kane Oliver of Oliver’s Pub & Kitchen in Eastwood said: “We are opening our beer garden and have invested in a marquee for 90 people. We are fully booked on Monday, Friday and Saturday.”

There is a percentage that cannot be reopened just yet because they have no outdoor space or if they do it will be too small to be viable.

But here is our bumper list of the pubs, restaurants, and cafes that are reopening.
