Nine people were charged with drug offenses following a police operation in Lincoln on Tuesday morning.
At around 7 a.m., the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) searched property in the city as part of a pre-planned operation to investigate drug offenses, particularly the use of Class A drugs – methamphetamine and cocaine.
On Wednesday evening, Lincolnshire police said they had charged all ten people they arrested during the operation.
Detective Chief Superintendent Nikki Mayo of the Special Operations Unit in East Midlands said, “We are now going to further investigate what we believe is a multi-million pound illegal” deal “to uncover the extent of the criminal activity and to track those involved . “
The accused are:
Cornelius Corrigan (52) on Charles Street, Lincoln was charged with conspiracy to fraudulently evade the controlled drug import ban, conspiracy to fraudulently evade the controlled drug export ban, and conspiracy to supply a class A drug (cocaine).
Joanne Collins (31) of Newark Road, Lincoln was charged with conspiracy to fraudulently evade the ban on controlled drugs.
Pierce Halford (24) on Manse Avenue, Lincoln was charged with conspiracy to fraudulently evade controlled drug imports.
* Soyeb Vesmawala (47) of Fort Ann Road, Batley, West Yorkshire, was charged with conspiracy to fraudulently circumvent the import ban on controlled drugs and the conspiracy to supply a class A drug (cocaine). Arrested in West Yorkshire at the same time as the Lincoln warrants (May 11).
Andrew aunt (45) of Barkers Court, Waterside South, Lincoln, was charged with conspiracy to fraudulently evade the controlled drug import ban and conspiracy to fraudulently evade the controlled drug export ban.
Luke Robinson (36) of Lupine Road, Lincoln, was charged with conspiracy to fraudulently evade the prohibition on the import of controlled drugs and conspiracy to evade the prohibition on the export of controlled drugs.
Arthur Dunn (56) Stonefield Avenue Lincoln was charged with conspiracy to fraudulently evade the controlled drug import ban, conspiracy to fraudulently evade the controlled drug export ban, and conspiracy to supply a class A drug (cocaine).
Patrick Lawless (40) of Doddington Road, Lincoln, were charged with two conspiracy cases fraudulently evading the controlled drug import ban, one conspiracy fraudulently evading the controlled drug export ban, and two conspiracy cases relating to the supply of a class A drug (cocaine ).
Thomas Warman (31) of St. Andrews Drive, Lincoln, was charged with conspiracy to fraudulently evade the prohibition on the importation of controlled drugs and the conspiracy to supply a class A drug (cocaine).
With the exception of Collins and Halford, who were released on bail to appear at a later date, all were held in custody to appear before judges on May 13th.
A police officer was attacked while the Lincoln search warrant was being carried out. Liam Ardon-Sharpe (28) from Hadfield Road, Lincoln, was charged with assaulting an emergency worker and was released on bail on May 27 to attend Lincoln Magistrates Court.
