Roxy Ball Room Nottingham: New Cornerhouse Venue Opening Date Announced

The new bowling alley and bar in the Roxy Ball Room opens in Nottingham’s Cornerhouse this summer.

The alcohol and balls concept, already based on Thurland Street in the city center, will take over the former World Cuisine Buffet Restaurant, which closed in 2017.

In addition to ten-pin bowling, there is table tennis, retro slot machines, a pool, shuffleboards and beer pong, which used to seat 500 guests.

Oh, and there will be karaoke too.

And in an announcement on Facebook, the bar said it would officially open to the public on June 11th – with bookings now open.

The pioneering leisure group was founded in 2013 by Leeds-born brothers Matt and Ben Jones.

Nottingham will be one of three cities, alongside Manchester and Birmingham, to open a new Roxy Ball Room – and the Cornerhouse will be their largest venue yet.

The brothers previously said: “The last seven years have been a complete blur for Roxy Leisure, but what a journey it has been.

“When we launched the Roxy Ball Room in 2013, we knew we were getting into something special and launching seven more venues later, here we are.

“Of course there were many challenges along the way, but as the public thirst for a more social and interactive nightlife grew we were able to move forward and be one step ahead. This will be a great decade for Roxy!”
