A police cordon is in place in Newark following reports of a sexual assault.
Nottinghamshire Police have cordoned off a section of land between Lombard Street and Portland Street, Newark following reports of a sexual assault in the earlier hours of this morning.

Officers were called to the scene, close to the car park entrance of ASDA, at 12.43am this morning (October 22).
The site has been taped off whilst crime scene investigators analyze the scene and gather evidence.
Investigations are ongoing and Nottinghamshire Police ask that any witnesses or persons with information contact them by calling 101, quoting the job with today’s date, October 22, 2022.
